Micro Market Recovery Program

Find your home with the Micro Market Recovery Program (MMRP)!

MMRP was created by the City of Chicago to help build strong communities within the city. MMRP seeks to revitalize distressed neighborhoods by reducing the cost of homeownership, creating communities of choice, and attracting new owners to vacant buildings on targeted neighborhood blocks.

The program is built on several strategies to make homeownership attainable for more Chicagoans: strategic targeting of resources to small geographies, collaborative deployment of those resources by private, public and non-profits partners, and comprehensively utilizing those resources to address the specific needs of families, buildings and blocks.

GPCC is the MMRP Community Partner for West Garfield Park. GPCC works with people looking at properties between Madison and West Van Buren.

Buy and rehab a vacant property in East and West Garfield Park to call home!

Income-eligible (150% AMI) homebuyers can get a City grant to pay for up to 25% of the entire project cost.  The grant also provides a free construction specialist to help the buyer with inspection, contractor selection and construction oversight.
