Community Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness

On October 10th, from 9am - 12pm, the Garfield Park Community Council will lead the Community Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness. The Walk will startfrom Beidler Elementary School (3151 W. Walnut St.) and end at the Garfield Park Neighborhood Market (135 N. Kedzie Ave.). This year, we will be honoring a fallen angel, LaTanya Spiller, who our community lost this year to breast cancer. We hope that you will join us to honor LaTanya's memory by raising awareness about how to treat, prevent, and care for our community members who have been impacted by breast cancer. The walk will be followed by a time for remembrance for LaTanya and beloved community members who we have lost and celebration of survivors.

We would like to invite you to join us to build a supportive community for those who have been impacted by this disease. Registration includes an option to purchase a t-shirt at $15 per t-shirt. Registration closes on September 24!
