Educator, Musician and Community Organizer Theron Hawk is a lifelong resident of Chicago’s West Side, attending Willa Cather, Morton, Marshall and Lane Tech. He is a graduate of Northeastern Illinois University, majoring in Music Education, where he spent time touring with his college jazz band. Upon graduating, “Hawk” returned to West Garfield Park to teach music. He is committed to developing community leaders and ensure that music is an important part of public school curriculum for students throughout Chicago.
