The Garfield Park Neighborhood Market is located on outdoors on The Hatchery plaza, 135 N. Kedzie, from June through October. We also organize indoor markets inside The Hatchery facility in the winter and early spring.

Join Us For the 2024 Season!

We're excited to host the twelfth season of the Garfield Park Neighborhood Market this year! The Neighborhood Market originated in 2012 as part of a public space activation project on the vacant lot that now houses The Hatchery. Since the Hatchery opened its doors in 2018, we have hosted our markets on their plaza.

Our first outdoor market of the 2024 season is Saturday, June 8! The following markets will be on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, from June to October.

Our vendors sell value-added products, such as pickled okra and cabbage relish, sourced locally from the Garfield Park Garden Network. Additional local businesses and members of The Hatchery Chicago sell baked goods, healthy, hypo-allergenic bath and body products, and innovative new foods like traditional African snacks, barbeque sauces, and herb-infused salts.

At the Garfield Park Neighborhood Market, we not only value racial equity and justice, we also put it into practice. In a recent survey, we found that 12% of our vendors identify as Latinx and 56% as Black or of African descent. Additionally, 33% of our vendors are businesses owned by women!

We are committed to the safety of our vendors and guests. Please read our market rules to learn more about health and safety requirements.
