Giving Tuesday

We need you to continue to be a resource for all Garfield Park residents! Together we can:

  • Support hyper-local organizing and collective action trainings, and bring residents together through approximately 20 healthy block parties, violence prevention events, community bike rides, and holiday gatherings;
  • Create opportunities for businesses along commercial corridors, including support for more than 50 vendors at the Garfield Park Neighborhood Market at The Hatchery;
  • Help grow community gardens, greening efforts and food access by supporting the Garfield Park Garden Network and sharing and selling more than 3,500 pounds of locally-grown produce with neighbors through the Garfield Park Neighborhood Market - the market accepts LINK, WIC and senior coupons;
  • Provide resources, including counseling and educational workshops, for more than 200 tenants, homeowners and landlords, to connect families to more affordable and healthy housing. Our housing work also involves long-term residents in planning efforts to reduce the risk of displacement while bringing new positive developments to the community.
