Eunita Rushing serves as the President of the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance and has extensive nonprofit management experience. She holds a Masters Degree in education from Loyola University and came to the Alliance after 15 years with Urban Gateways where she created and coordinated the Arts for Learning program. Ms. Rushing also serves on the Chicago Parks Alliance Network Board of Directors. She can be reached at 773.638.1766.
Mike Tomas has been the NCP Director for the GPCA in the East Garfield Park community on Chicago West Side for the past five years. Mike has extensive community development and project management experience in both Chicago and San Francisco. Malik C. Elliott joined the Alliance in September 2009. With a Master’s degree in Economic Development and Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science, Malik brings a diverse skill-set to NCP. After completing graduate school at UIC Urban Planning and Public Affairs program, his career took him into the private sector where he was a project manager at a commercial real estate development firm and later, a sales agent at a Chicago–based brokerage company. Rishona Taylor has a background in nursing with a Master’s degree in public service management. A graduate of DePaul University, she manages, organizes, and coordinates both the NCP healthy living programs and local educational initiatives.
